This Privacy Policy explains how Avighna Digital Private Limited("Mindknot", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use the Mindknot mobile application and website (the "Service").
We are an India-based entity operating from Gurugram, Haryana.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: optional name and email when signing in with Apple or Google; an anonymous user ID when continuing as a guest.
- Content you provide: voice recordings, transcripts, typed entries, generated tasks, feelings, journal entries, history, streaks, and insights ("Spills").
- Subscription data: subscription status and purchase events.
- Push token: a push notification token for delivery.
- Analytics: product interaction analytics (content-free).
- Diagnostics: crash logs, device type, OS version, diagnostic, and performance information.
- Location: approximate location derived from IP when provided by analytics services.
Mindknot does not collect your phone number or payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple, Google, or our payment processor.
2. AI processing and permission
Before recording or sorting a spill, Mindknot asks for explicit permission. Voice recordings are sent to Deepgram for transcription. Transcripts and typed text are sent to Anthropic Claude for AI sorting into tasks, feelings, and journal entries.
You can decline, and no content is sent. You can withdraw AI processing permission at any time from Settings. After withdrawal, no new content is sent unless permission is granted again.
3. Service providers
We use the following providers, who must protect personal data to the same or an equivalent standard and use it only for the contracted service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, storage, and backend hosting.
- Deepgram — voice transcription (audio recordings).
- Anthropic Claude — AI sorting into tasks, feelings, and journal entries (transcripts and typed text).
- RevenueCat — subscription management (subscription status and purchase events).
- Mixpanel — content-free product interaction analytics.
- Sentry — crash diagnostics and performance monitoring.
- Expo — push notification delivery (push token).
- Apple and Google — authentication (optional name and email).
4. How we share and use data
- Spill content is never public or shared with other users.
- Your data is not sold.
- Your data is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Analytics never contain raw spill audio, transcripts, feelings, or journal content.
- Under our service arrangements with Deepgram and Anthropic Claude, content is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
5. Retention and deletion
- Free-tier voice recordings are deleted after 7 days.
- Paid-user audio is retained until the user deletes it or deletes the account.
- Transcripts and generated content remain until deleted.
- Deleting your account permanently deletes the account and associated data.
- You can export your data from Settings at any time.
6. Security and location
- Data is encrypted in transit.
- Sessions use secure device storage.
- Database access is protected with row-level security.
- Data and processors may operate in the United States.
7. Children
Mindknot is not directed to children below the locally required age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

10. Changes

11. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurugram, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
